   Our Presidential Library tour take you to the beautiful city of Simi Valley in Los Angeles. Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum has informed and inspired millions of visitors since its opening in 1991. Perched on a a mountaintop with sweeping views of mountains, valleys and the Pacific Ocean, this 100-acre site, 30 minutes from Hollywood offers memorable experiences for people of all ages. At the end of the tour we will drop you off at your hotel.

   You will follow a young Ronald Reagan on his rise from local hero and college standout through Hollywood stardom and as a two term governor of California. Trace his campaign trail and relive his victories as he is sworn in as the 40th President of the United States. Enter the Oval Office and watch history unfold as President Reagan helps topple the Iron Curtain, ending the Cold War. Board Air Force One and learn about this historic Flying White House. The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum is one of the largest of twelve presidential libraries established since 1939. There are more than 55 million pages of personal and administration documents, over 1.6 million photographs, 20,000 videotapes, 25,000 audio tapes, and 670,000 feet of film preserved at the library.

    The John P. McGovern, M.D. Gallery of Presidents displays portraits and biographies of all of the men who have served as our nation's chief executive. The featured artifact is a rare 1823 engraving of the Declaration of Independence, one of only thirty known to exist.

    Trace Ronald Reagan in the time before he entered politics and follow Reagan's active duty during World War II in the U.S. Air Forces with the First Motion Picture Unit, his return to the entertainment industry at the end of the war and his marriage to Nancy Davis. In 1966 the former actor became Governor of California for two terms. On January 20, 1981 Ronald Reagan became the fortieth president of the United States. Among the Highlights are a dramatic video on the assassination attempt that nearly claimed his life, heads of state gifts and the actual White House Situation Room Table where president Reagan faced difficult decisions as Commander-in-Chief.
 
The Air Force One Pavilion

    Presidents Reagan's dream was that one day Air Force One would be shared with the American people. That dream has finally come true. The new Air Force One Pavilion celebrates President Reagan's vision and tells the story of his important achievements during his presidential years. Visitors will gain a deep appreciation of how Ronald Reagan used the Boeing 707 to traverse the globe promoting freedom and democracy. This historic 27000, a Boeing 707 aircraft is the centerpiece of the Air Force One pavilion, a magnificent 90,000 square foot facility. Visitors have the opportunity to board this "Flying White House" where seven presidents and countless world leaders have flown.
 
Air Force One

    27000, a Boeing 707, was accepted into the Air Force on August 4, 1972 after 200 hours of testing. Richard Nixon was the first president to use 27000 in February 1973 from Andrews AFB to Chicago. 27000 flew seven U.S. presidents - Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, H.W. Bush, Clinton, W. Bush. 27000's replacement, a Boeing 747 with tail number 28000, was ordered by the Reagan administration but not received until 1990 in the Bush administration. 27000 seats 52 passengers plus Air Force crew.

For nearly a half century a dangerous face-off threatened unimaginable devastation when an intensive arms race, known as the Cold War, began. poignant pictures help tell the story of the evil empire and of the Berlin Wall that Ronald reagan sought to bring down.

   Synonymous with the presidency, this exact replica of the Oval Office appears as it existed during Ronald Reagan's administration. Exhibits about the presidential retreat in Camp David, Maryland, and Rancho del Cielo in the beautiful mountains above Santa Barbara offer glimpses of Ronald and Nancy Reagan's private moments away from the hectic pace of Washington. For more than a half century Nancy Reagan stood by the side of her husband. From a deactivated BGM-109 Gryphon Missile to a dramatic mural of the USS Ronald reagan, legacy gallery celebrates the lasting legacy of president Reagan's accomplishments during his eight years in office.
 
Memorial Site

    Following his passing on June 5, 2004, President Ronald Reagan was laid to rest at the Reagan Library on June 11, 2004. The memorial Site inscription reads: "I know in my heart that man is good, that what is right will always eventually triumph and there is purpose and worth to each and every life.' -Ronald Reagan
